Reaching Higher Hosts 16th Annual Gala on November 8, 2014
“The Power of Hope…the Skills to Cope”

Brighton, MI- February 22, 2014, — Reaching Higher, Inc., (, a non-profit organization that’s dedicated to helping your people live healthier, happier lives through its character-building leadership training program will host its 16th Annual Gala on Saturday, November 8, 2014 to raise scholarship funds for Michigan youth.

The Gala will be held at Meadowbrook Country Club in Northville, MI. Festivities include with a variety of unique appetizers, followed by a delicious dinner reception and live auction. “There has never been a more important time to support our young people” said Susie Dahlmann, founder and Executive Director of Reaching Higher. “Teens are living faster, more stressful lives today and decisions made today can be a turning point for their lives tomorrow.” The Gala is an exciting event that brings together people in our community that genuinely wants to make a difference, raising thousands of dollars for our local school programs.

Reaching Higher’s mission is to motivate young adults to live a life of awakened purpose with passion and confidence. The nine week program surrounds students with skilled, compassionate instructors and mentors who help them realize stronger academic achievement, provide greater self-esteem and conflict resolution skills. The carefully planned course work allows students the ability to thrive in difficult or pressure situations, which empowers teens to see greater possibilities for their lives. Finally, the program teaches students practical tools that help build confidence, which motivates them to Reach Higher in their lives.

About Reaching Higher
Since 1997, the Reaching Higher leadership program has been invited into schools, churches and community organizations across Southeast Michigan communities. Throughout the nine-week curriculum, students interact within the classroom learning how to set goals, manage stress, change limiting beliefs, overcome fear and make positive choices and changes in their lives. After graduation, the students form peer groups and meet regularly to continue developing individual goals and keeping each other accountable. Learn more at
